My semester long sustainability project
The Full Story
I began applying for colleges my senior year at High School. IUPUI was the first college I applied for and I was lucky enough to make it into the college with a scholarship. I also began working at Papa John's and learned how to work with people. My job has taught how to deal with undesirable people and how to mask anger. My next learning experience taught me how deal with stress by dividing my work across different days for large projects and pushing it out of my mind.

I have learned that I am good at helping people and managing different tasks. I have also learned that I can become overwhelmed easily and need to work on that. I keep my focus and make sure to get my assignments completed on time. I also can become frustrated when I am overwhelmed like when customers want me to bring them their order when I am in the middle of another task.

The biggest lesson I learned is how nobody can truly keep up with what you're doing or what you want. Whether it be getting a ton of large assignments that are all due at the end of the week or putting up with horrible customers I need to be ready to deal with conflicting tasks from different people. I will need to use this when I live on my own and am working full time once I am done with college. My advice for next semester is to be prepared for stress because it will only get harder.
